A brand new Airbus A320 aircraft equipped with Sharklets landed at Qingdao Liuting International Airport (TAO) on May 9 after hours of flight from Hamburg, Germany and joined the fleet of Qingdao Airlines (QW). This is the second aircraft of the Qingdao-based airline.
The airline said the second A320 aircraft, equipped with fuel-saving Sharklets, features a two-class cabin with a capacity of 152 seats - eight business and 144 economy class seats, just like its first A320. The interior of the aircraft has been refitted with a wider legroom to provide customers a more comfortable flight experience.
The airline will start operating this brand new A320 on Qingdao-Harbin-Hailar and Qingdao-Shanghai Pudong services from May 15, to provide one more travel option for travelers from Qingdao to Northeast China, Inner Mongolia and Shanghai.
Since its maiden flight on April 26, the airline has maintained a seat occupancy rate of more than 80% on its Chengdu and Changsha services. The new arrival will help enrich its network, said the carrier.
