Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) said it handled 48,000 aircraft movements and 7.08 million passengers in April, up 2.8% and 2.1% from a year earlier, respectively.

Specifically, domestic movements increased 2.5% on a yearly basis, while those on international and Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan routes saw a year-on-year growth of 3.9%.

In April, domestic passengers rose 1.1% at the airport, compared with a 5.3% growth for passengers taking international flights and Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan flights.  

In the first four months, the airport served up to 188,000 aircraft movements and 27.63 million passengers, rising 3.3% and 2.7% from a year earlier.
