The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has issued its subsidy policy for small civil airports in 2014, by which 137 small domestic airports will obtain subsidies amounting to 1.078 billion yuan from the aviation watchdog, according to an announcement released on CAAC's website on Dec. 6.

According to the policy, 137 small airports are among the beneficiaries and each airport will get subsidies ranging from 3.84 million yuan to 16.6 million yuan.  Among them, Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport (JZH) has the most subsidies at 16.6 million yuan, while Yichang Sanxia Airport (YIH) gets the least at 3.84 million yuan.

It is learnt that the money will come from the Civil Aviation Development Fund.  The Finance Department of CAAC is now soliciting public comments on the announcement until Dec. 15, 2013.
